Size: Shoulder height: 58 - 66 cm (22.75 - 26 inches).
Coat: Coat can be brown, light brown, dark brown, white, or black. Brown, white or yellow markings are permissible.
Character: The German Shorthaired Pointer is intelligent, eager to learn, loyal and brave.
Temperament: This dog gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets. It can also play a role as a watchdog.
Care: Occasional brushing and keeping the ears clean is all that is required.
Training: If handlers are consistent, training is not normally difficult.
Activity: This breed will need long walks and opportunities to go swimming and retrieving. It is most suited to outdoor activities, so it would be happiest with a sporty family.
